Job Summary:
The Character Model will be responsible for portraying various fictional characters through physical expression and body movements. This role requires an exceptional level of creativity, versatility, and physical coordination to bring characters to life in both live performances and pre-recorded media. The Character Model will work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure accurate representation of the character's personality, emotions, and physicality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Study and analyze character descriptions, scripts, and storylines to understand the character's background, behavior, and motivations.
2. Develop a deep understanding of each character's physical attributes, demeanor, and unique mannerisms.
3. Collaborate with directors and producers to discuss character expectations and requirements for live performances, events, or media productions.
4. Create and maintain a repertoire of physical movements and expressions that accurately reflect each character's personality and emotions.
5. Perform in front of live audiences, on stage, or in front of cameras, ensuring that the character's physical movements and expressions are consistent and engaging.
6. Adapt performance techniques to suit the specific requirements of different mediums, such as film, television, theater, or virtual reality.
7. Attend rehearsals and actively participate in character development sessions, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to enhance the portrayal.
8. Collaborate with costume designers and makeup artists to ensure that the character's appearance aligns with the intended visual representation.
9. Maintain a high level of physical fitness and flexibility to effectively embody various characters.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and advancements in character modeling to continuously enhance performance skills.
